Darcy Carter needed just one pitch to give us something to cheer about.
When we headed to Oklahoma to spend a day at the ballpark with our 2026–27 Texas Brand Ambassador and her NTX Xplosion teammates, she opened the game with a first-pitch double. Then we got to watch her work in the circle and compete with the confidence that had already caught our attention.
Then we gave her a different assignment: help us hand out BULLPEN Originals Award Boxes to players on the opposing teams.
Making plays for your team. Making another player’s day. That’s a pretty good introduction to our 2026–27 Texas Brand Ambassador.
Darcy Carter: From Iowa Park to the Texas stage

Darcy Carter is a softball player from Iowa Park, Texas, who plays pitcher and shortstop. She loves picking up new skills, making plays and cheering on her teammates.
She also has a reason for wanting to represent BPO that reaches beyond her own team: she wants to encourage more girls to get out there and play softball.
That matters to us because a young player seeing another girl compete, have fun and put herself out there can make the game feel a little more within reach.
She earned her moment
The Texas Brand Ambassador competition began with more than 150 ballplayers from across the state. The field narrowed to the Texas 12 for the Showcase in Clyde, then to a Final 4 before the community cast its votes.
Darcy made an impression throughout that journey. At the Showcase, she showed up ready to compete and won over the judges with her performance. When the Final 4 vote arrived, her supporters came through: she earned more than half of all votes cast.
That’s a lot of people in your corner.
But what made us excited about Darcy was the combination we saw along the way: energy, personality, a positive attitude and a love for the game. We wanted a player who would bring those qualities into the ambassador role. Darcy gave us plenty to look forward to.
A day with Darcy Carter and NTX Xplosion

Our Oklahoma visit gave us a chance to move past contest entries and voting updates and spend time together at an actual ballpark.
We brought some of the prizes Darcy earned through the competition and surprised her teammates with a full set of Custom Team Boxes. Each label carried a player’s name and number alongside the team’s colors and logo. It gave the whole squad a BPO moment to share.
Meanwhile, the NTX Xplosion players and families welcomed us in for a day of softball. We got to see Darcy compete with her team and, later, help recognize players from the opposing teams with Award Boxes.
For us, those are the kinds of moments we want this program to create. A player gets recognized, then gets a chance to pass that feeling along to another ballplayer.
Already putting her stamp on BPO
You may have spotted Darcy Carter on our sleeve-tie packaging. Seeing a real BPO ballplayer become part of the products we put into a player’s hands is a pretty cool part of this story.
She has also had a chance to talk about becoming our ambassador in a news interview shared by her family. It’s another opportunity for people to meet the player behind the winner announcement.
The contest introduced us to Darcy. Now we get to keep building the story with her.
Darcy, welcome to the BULLPEN. We’re glad you’re here.
BPO family: help us give her a proper welcome. Head to her ambassador announcement and leave Darcy some encouragement.
